The MLT-D105 cartridges are used in numerous Samsung printers and MFPs, including but not limited to the SF-650, ML-1915, ML-2525, ML-2580, SCX-4600 and SCX-4623. All of these models were introduced between November 2000 and January 2010, range in speed from 18 to 24 pages per minute (ppm) and have duty cycles from 10,000 to 12,000 pages per month.
At the time of introduction the all-in-one cartridges were physically unlike any other existing Samsung models. The clamshell design eliminates the need for end plates, there is no drum shutter and no screws – all attachment points are heat staked.
Printers will not print with a chip missing from the cartridge. Chips are located on the leading edge of the cartridge and are easily replaced.
